Me First.
One of the perks of having a blog is that you have a public forum for trumpeting your ability to do things before other people. This makes people feel cool, and is largely the reason why people have blogs. "Oh, you got an iPad... neat! I BOUGHT MINE 3 WEEKS BEFORE YOU AS YOU CAN SEE IN THIS BLOG POST THAT I WROTE ON MY BLOG." In that vain, I stopped in for opening night at Seersucker last night. It was mostly friends and family (we sat next to their beer distributor), but the restaurant is very nicely appointed and smelled faintly of drying paint. I had a Dixie and the "Southern Snack Plate," which was comprised of homemade potato chips, pickled okra, deviled eggs, and a pimento cheese dip. It was all perfectly fine, but not nearly enough to actually judge the restaurant on. It was, however, more than enough for me to say LOOK HOW COOL I AM THAT I WENT HERE SO SOON AFTER IT OPENED.
