What it all means.

A brief word of clarification on the title of this blog, the obscurity of which I clearly underestimated.  Anywho: Spiro Agnew was Nixon's VP, and he really hated the press; like, almost as much as Sarah Palin.  The thing was, he had a real gift for passing off amazing turns of phrase, so the press loved him as much as he hated them. Perhaps his best known zinger was when he referred to the press corps as the "nattering nabobs of negativism."  So there you go.
