Where do you sum-mah

Watched LA Story for the first time in ages and didn't love it as much as I'd remembered. The scene, however, of Steve Martin trying to make a reservation at the hottest spot in town (L'Idiot), with the maitre'd (Patrick Stewart, which a French accent, for once) grilling him about where he summers, going over his bank records, etc, is gold.
